Stylist Saturday: Keep Me Warm & Toasty

I currently live in a dorm and the housing office has shut off our A/C and refuses to turn on the heater because it's not "cold enough." Well, I think it's cold enough. At night, the temperature drops really low and so does the body's. Man, if I had a couple of bucks to spare, I would buy these items in a jiffy. I feel warm and toasty just by looking at them. I love the colorful leaves, fall-inspired drinks, and crisp air but I can do without the cold temperatures at night.

Early Birthday Gift from Sephora

I always look forward to the free eyebrow waxing from Benefit Brow Bar and free gift sets from Sephora near my birthday. Since there isn't a Sephora nearby my graduate school campus, I stopped by while I was back at my "home-home."

This year Sephora is giving out a make-up set from Make Up For Ever. It includes a mini Smoky Extravagant mascara and Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick. I ended up giving the lipstick to my mom because she liked the color.

Note: You can only get the birthday gifts if you are a beauty insider at Sephora. It's really easy to sign up. You can join on their website or at the store.

REVIEW: MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Shy Girl

★★★ out of 5
Price: $16
Color: Shy Girl (peachy nude with a pink undertone)
Size: 0.1 oz (3 g)

Why did I pick this product?
I was looking for a lipstick that I could wear on an everyday basis. Since I keep my overall makeup look very simple, I wanted to find a nude lipstick that would complement my skin tone. It was also important that it wouldn't dry out my lips because I have naturally dry lips (I should drink more water). Cremesheen is known for its creamy texture and easy application.

Where to buy it?
I bought it at MAC.

Pros:
- Lightweight
- Creamy texture
- Beautiful color/good pigmentation
- Even coverage
- Fairly long-lasting

Cons:
- Price

Bottomline: I really fell in love with this color. It glides on nicely and leaves my lips feeling creamy and smooth. I'm glad that this nude lipstick didn't end up making my lips look like I bit into a powdered donut. Although this lipstick was on the expensive end for me, I think it was worth the purchase. The lipstick goes on very smoothly and gives even coverage. The color is light and natural-looking so it won't look overbearing for everyday looks.
