REVIEW: Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Jet Black

 out of 5
Price: $20
Color: Jet Black
Size: 0.016 fl. oz.

Why did I pick this product?
My friend and a lady at Sephora recommended this liner when I said I was looking for a precise, waterproof liquid eyeliner. I was debating between this one and Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner.  I was hesitating from buying this liner because it was a bit pricy. However, I made the purchase because my Lancome's gel liner made me look like a panda by the end of the day. Also, I was looking for a liner with a sharp felt tip.

Where to buy it?
I bought it at Sephora.

Pros:
- Lightweight
- Dries very quickly
- Doesn't smudge
- Precise application
- Felt tip
- Waterproof
- Easy application

Cons:
- Price
- Doesn't "stay all day"

Fresh Application:

After only 4 hours:

Bottomline: Although I really wanted to love this liner and make it a staple in my makeup bag, I think I'll have to find another liner. The name is "stay all day liner" but... it definitely doesn't stay all day. I have to reapply every 3-4 hours, which is very annoying - especially if you spent $20. I'll keep on using it until it runs out but I don't think I will be repurchasing this product in the future.

Stylist Saturday: Keep Me Warm & Toasty

I currently live in a dorm and the housing office has shut off our A/C and refuses to turn on the heater because it's not "cold enough." Well, I think it's cold enough. At night, the temperature drops really low and so does the body's. Man, if I had a couple of bucks to spare, I would buy these items in a jiffy. I feel warm and toasty just by looking at them. I love the colorful leaves, fall-inspired drinks, and crisp air but I can do without the cold temperatures at night.

Early Birthday Gift from Sephora

I always look forward to the free eyebrow waxing from Benefit Brow Bar and free gift sets from Sephora near my birthday. Since there isn't a Sephora nearby my graduate school campus, I stopped by while I was back at my "home-home."

This year Sephora is giving out a make-up set from Make Up For Ever. It includes a mini Smoky Extravagant mascara and Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick. I ended up giving the lipstick to my mom because she liked the color.

Note: You can only get the birthday gifts if you are a beauty insider at Sephora. It's really easy to sign up. You can join on their website or at the store.

REVIEW: MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Shy Girl

★★★ out of 5
Price: $16
Color: Shy Girl (peachy nude with a pink undertone)
Size: 0.1 oz (3 g)

Why did I pick this product?
I was looking for a lipstick that I could wear on an everyday basis. Since I keep my overall makeup look very simple, I wanted to find a nude lipstick that would complement my skin tone. It was also important that it wouldn't dry out my lips because I have naturally dry lips (I should drink more water). Cremesheen is known for its creamy texture and easy application.

Where to buy it?
I bought it at MAC.

Pros:
- Lightweight
- Creamy texture
- Beautiful color/good pigmentation
- Even coverage
- Fairly long-lasting

Cons:
- Price

Bottomline: I really fell in love with this color. It glides on nicely and leaves my lips feeling creamy and smooth. I'm glad that this nude lipstick didn't end up making my lips look like I bit into a powdered donut. Although this lipstick was on the expensive end for me, I think it was worth the purchase. The lipstick goes on very smoothly and gives even coverage. The color is light and natural-looking so it won't look overbearing for everyday looks.

Stylist Saturday: Can You Say Meow?

Ow, ow, MEOW. For those days, you want to channel your inner catwoman. I've been really into the black/white color palette these days. Maybe it's because the weather's getting chillier.

For make-up, I think a small cat-eye will look good. (Obviously...)
Here's a link to a great site that will show you how to achieve that look -> here
And aren't these nails just ADORABLE?! I would probably opt out the polka dots and replace it with solid black for a more chic look. Also, the nail with cat would stand out more.

Stylist Saturday: Wait, let me take a Selfie

Sorry for the late post! I've been really into black and white looks. Maybe it's because I'm getting older or maybe it's because it's getting colder. Here's a stylish yet relaxed casual look.

I thought these types of hairstyles would go well with this look!

Stylist Saturday: Cool, Calm, & Collected

As homework starts to pile up and the days get colder, I get too lazy to look fancy. Although I don't have the exact items from this list, I have very similar clothing that I like to throw on whenever I want to look like I tried but I really didn't. Throw on a hat if you were too busy/lazy to shower last night because of the final you had to study for!

I drew my inspiration from the bright red lipsticks and Kylie Jenner's instagram.

Stylist Saturday: Warm & Cozy

It's so hot these days... it makes me long for autumn. My go-to shoes are my chestnut-colored UGG's because they keep my feet warm. I thought it'd be cute to have leaf-shaped earrings because of the falling leaves. I always lean towards maroon and gold colored clothing items when it gets colder.

Here is a hairstyle that you could pair with this look.

Stylist Saturday: Pretty in Pink

It's Labor Day Weekend, which means that it's almost time for school. Last week, I coordinated a more boyish look. This week I decided to channel my inner girly-ness to feature this "pretty in pink" look.

Here are some hairstyles that you can style with this look.

6. Encrusted Rhinestone Bow Studs ($2.80)

Stylist Saturday: Simple & Chic

I really like simple everyday looks because you can wear them almost anywhere - when you go shopping, go to school, or on a date. Even if it's not these specific items, there are many dupes that might be cheaper. With this look, I'd probably pair it with hairstyles like these.

It would look awesome with nails like this.

2. Classic Wool Floppy Hat in Navy from Forever21 (orig. $14.80; on sale for $10)

Stylist Saturday: Shades of Gray

I've decided to start a new section called Stylist Saturday, where I put together an outfit. I want to mix items that I would be able to afford.

This look is a bit tomboy with a girlish flair. If it's breezy, you can sport the beanie to keep you warmer. If it's warmer, you can opt to put your hair in a messy hair bun to look effortless.

As for make-up and other hairstyle options, I looked to the famous Cara Delevingne.
